This is my 150th post, believe you me. Never thought I'd ever have so much to write about.
This is NBA's All-Star weekend and damnit, I doubt I'll get to watch much of it, if any at all. All good tho coz I'll be out there acting a fool all through, rather than marinating on the couch all weekend long.
More importantly, I just got over a week from hell, Monday thru Thursday anyway, and was just now listening to Eric Sermon's and Marvin Gaye's Just Like Music. If there ever was a cut that exemplified my feeling toward music, that right there would be it.
In this spirit of music and basketball then, check out the following clip featuring Marvin Gaye & Nona Gaye, his [voluptuous] daughter, singing America's National Anthem before an All-Star game some years back. Considering how bland the anthem usually is, as all anthems can be due to incessant repetitiveness, Marvin & Nona straight 'kilt' this performance; it really is off the chain.
But don't take my word for it - check it out.
