WEEKEND? WHAT WEEKEND?

This weekend just blew by like crazy. Sucks when you work on a Saturday coz the weekend seems exponentially shorter.

This coming week tho is bound to be plenty interesting. School's out, for one. The company Xmas party is this week too, and that's when you get to see bossman drunk - funny stuff. Lots of work to be done too, and one of the most productive guys in the company had a family emergency and will be gone all week. [Hence my working Saturday] Then, our crappy Unix-based accounts server crashed last week, which is nothing short of disastrous for a product based company - or for any other company, for that matter. But for we who, for the most part, sell tangible stuff, it means that sh*t gets stacked floor to ceiling waiting to be invoiced and shipped out. The production area is a madhouse, stuff lying all over.

So, on my way to work yesterday I tested out this camera I had to get because Mr. Sony Ericsson wasn't quite cutting it, as much a Paparazzi as I can be. Dude, I take photos of everything. It's one short step to a digital SLR, functionality-wise anyway. Only thing is that the viewfinder is electronic, unlike an SLR's. Maybe it will sate my lust for a real SLR for a spell. [Not that I can afford one anyway] The picture quality is great, and the movie-clips it takes aren't half bad, though nowhere near as good as, say, a camcorder's.

Like, check out this clip below that I took yesterday during my self-imposed break from work. I keep moving it around so much so I could test its auto-focus and white balance. The only problem is that its mike is more than overwhelmed by loud sounds, especially the bass from the trunk. Otherwise in a moderate sound level environment it's great.
