DRUMROLL PLEASE

Whew! Last day of finals is [finally] here! Dreading today's tho, some electronics shiznit.

I dislike exams as much as the next guy, but some finals actually try and help you out. Like, one of them was an open-book test. Open-book?! What a ridiculous concept:
"Here, take this test. And here's the textbook - the answers are somewhere in there. Find them."

Of course, it's not quite that easy; they trick you with the way the questions are phrased. And it usually goes something like this, and this is an extremely elementary example:

Technician A says the car's engine directly powers an automatic transmission. Tech B says the transmission directly drives the wheels in a RWD. [Rear Wheel Drive.] Which technician is correct?

a. Tech A
b. Tech B
c. Both A & B
d. Neither A nor B

If you're curious, I'll give you the correct answer. It might surprise you.

Meanwhile, I'll attack my overstuffed inbox and actually do some work. Of course, I'll take a few self-imposed breaks and watch clips like these. Talk about dates from hell.

The thing about open-book tests is you only get the open book because the teacher knows it won't help you.

It's a very subtle form of ancient chinese [or was it greek?] torture, kind of like waterboarding.

Coz now you can't guilt the teacher for setting a hard test, but he can still rub his hands and say 'mwehehehe gotcha!'just like the waterboarders can say 'but he didn't actually drown...'

Hope you aced it ;-)

That scene is one of the funniest part - if not the funniest - of that movie:)

Congrats and good luck with the exams. Funnily enough, finals time was usually my best time in school.

>CB: I did OK in the test, much to my surprise. Of course, being in school learning about stuff you're really interested in makes it a lot easier.

>KK: Finals the best time? Are you one of those who, ten minutes after the exam starts, is all done, and still aces it?

>The Villain: Hope you managed to see the clip. Trust me, it's worth it.
And the answer's D, believe it or not. It's all in the wording, those bastards.
Apparently tech A's wrong because the engine directly powers the torque converter first before the transmission, and tech B's wrong because from the transmission, the power has to go through the differential first.
