THE BEST.

[I think I've become a Lee Child groupie. I can't stop myself from copping dude's books. Like, my heart starts hammering every time I hit the bookstore and see a Jack Reacher I haven't read before. I might be exaggerating about the hammering, but you get the picture.]

I love cartoons, always have. Back in the day the Flintstones & Looney Tunes were an obsession. Bugs, Daffy, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester & Tweety, etc were the sh*t. Then they stopped making them, all because some mirthless idiots decided they were too violent. Since then, no other kiddie cartoons are as funny, though I chuckle sometimes whenever my lil' cuz puts Spongebob on.

Adult cartoons keep getting better though, I think. There are many, but the only ones I catch a few episodes of here and there are Futurama, South Park, American Dad, The Boondocks & The Simpsons, as well as other stuff on Adult Swim. But none of these can hold a candle to the best one ever, in my opinion anyway - Family Guy.

Family Guy is sooo bad. So bad it's good, that is. Seth Macfarlane is a freakin' genius for creating it. Every character has a distinct personality, and I think that's what makes it so interesting. Peter Griffin, of course, is the more colorful one, doing everything from fighting giant chickens to breastfeeding Stewie. Once, when his wife was kidnapped, he finally found her and yelled to the kidnapper: Hand over my wife.... or someone of equal physical attractiveness.

Not to be outdone, Stewie, Brian, Lois, Meg & Chris are all hilarious, as are Cleveland, Joe, Quagmire, and even Herbert, the resident dirty old man who likes little boys.

Bottom line, watch it if you can, if you haven't.
[And no, I'm not getting paid for this.]

My boy let me hold his 6-season Family Guy DVDs too. Sweetness. Haven't started watching them yet tho, thanks to the NBA playoffs.

Should one apologise for introducing you to Reacher- sorry, Lee Child?
I read the latest - Bad Luck and Trouble - sweet - and he now has a passport - progress.
If you ain't read it, it can find its way to your door.

The one who introduced me to Reacher - and spells apologize the right way, I noticed- deserves major props, and a raise to boot.

Hmmm, Bad Luck & Trouble? I'll check whether I've read it. Trading would be nice.

RE - Reacher series: Lee Child is churning out the best books now and they seem to get better with each release. It's good that they are availble in Nairobi. I just hope they don't them by adapting them to movies

Ok, who's this Lee Child and what kind of books does he write? I'm always in the market for a good book.

I agree with you, family guy's great, I much prefer the older episodes to the newer ones. South Park is also pretty good.

>Selerines: Thanks for stopping by.

>Bankelele: Tuh-ruth, Lee Childs are always good, the Jack Reachers anyway. I'll try one that isn't a Reacher and see wsup.

>SBB: The books I've read by Child are fiction. So far I've only read his Jack Reacher books, about a brainy ex-army vagabond with a thing for numbers - and kicking ass. Trust me, try them.
[Jack Reacher is to Lee Child as Alex Cross is to James Paterson, only much better.]

>d®: All his books are Jack Reacher - (there are about a dozen and I don't think he has written anything else)
