INTERLUDE

When we hope, we usually hope for the wrong thing.

We yearn for tomorrow and the progress that it represents.
But yesterday was once tomorrow, and where was the progress in it?

Or we yearn for yesterday, for what was or what might have been.
But as we are yearning, the present is becoming the past, so the past is nothing but our yearning for second chances.

Brother Odd.

so lets see if i get this right, we enjoy the moment, holding memories dear and hoping for more in the morrow?

Ha ha, I feel you, coz I thought it was brilliant when I first read it last night but dang, I'm now having trouble fully deciphering it! I guess a couple of cups of coffee are in order then, before any considerable mental exertion.

I know, I've been dragging my feet on the 'Witch' post but trust me, it's coming.

Deep, deep, deep. Wow....this is the focus of much reflection indeed. N u know how relfection w/ me goes...a 2hr shrink session w/ urs truly...lol. (sorry Dishwasher)

Wat I got from it, it's okay to hope, just don't put ur hopes up too high, for if it doesn't happen, you're left with regret. Also, don't spend so much time living in the past. Make new memories, live in the moment and once its done, let it go.

I can definitely learn something from this.

Happy friday!!!

Prodigious smarts - that's what you've got, my intelligent friend. Couldn't have put it better.

I was like half-asleep reading Koontz but I snapped wide awake when I read that. Felt the compulsion to share it with the world. Well, with whoever haunts my blog anyway.

What, don't be hatin' on my mans-n'ems Koontz now! His [rather unpretentious] intelligence just oozes out of his literary works.

And speaking of haunting, just got over an extremely introspective weekend. Life is really The Great Teacher, huh?
